I bought
new xiaomi piston headphones for iPhone 5/5s These earphones are widely reviewed and I first came across this on a thread on OPO forum. Everything they say about this is true. I've never seen a earphone this well built, in its price range. Every little detail is perfectly designed and manufactured using quality materials.
There are so many fakes you can buy from $1-10 on eBay. so if get official xiaomi piston headphones i bought it from
Nextbuying.com $24.98 plus $3.98 shipping cost.they sound similar to headphones in the $100 range. all of the buttons (volume up, down, and pause/play) work great on the iPhone. Noise cancelling is very good as well.
Good Sound Quality
This is the most important aspect of any earphone. The sound is very neutral but at the same time there is enough bass, but its really fine. I only felt that when I first listened to it and then I couldn't distinguish it. May be my ears were used to sound from the earphones I always used. The mids are amazing and I think for this price you can't really ask for a better sound. I've had this only for a week so depending on whether you believe in burn-in theory or not this could improve over time. The point is, there is not a single earphone at this price which sounds this great.
I'm not an audiophile by any means, and I really could care less about the range between lows and highs as long as both sides of a headset work. I was quite pleasantly surprised, though, when I tried on the Xiaomi Pistons. I listened to various genres, from classical to rock to Electronica to film music. The instrumentation on the songs I listened to was crisp and clear. The earphones were also able to deliver both the lows and the highs quite effectively. I'm referring to the intelligibility of the sounds at both the low end and the high end. You could make out the full range of instruments and sounds used on both ends, which was something I did not notice on my cheaper earphones.
I asked my brother, who is more a bit more experienced with audio than I am, to test these earbuds out. I did not tell him the price of these earphones. Of course, he looked up the price himself, but he maintained that the headset did sound a lot more expensive than the price it was sold at. If the controls did not meet my expectations, the sound quality definitely did shine through them.
Of course the sound through the metal would sound better than plastic. But to my understanding it's the same driver inside.
Build Gift Box Quality
The housing is made of metal and has a gold finish with three circle engraving. It comes with 3 extra tips (total 4 sets). of There is a mic and 3 buttons, for skip/volume-up/down/play/pause etc. Function of the button also depends on the type of OS and app you're using. The mic is not on the left/right cable, but at the junction of the Y cable which is slightly shorter than I would like. So its not easy to distinguish between the left or right piece and cable could've been a little longer. I compared it to a few earphones lying around and this was 2 inches shorter than most. This is one of the minor negatives I could find. There is also a metal clip.

If you find a better quality earphone (with mic) for under $25 please let me know.
